Oh god. I can't believe I'm going to say this...
Rommel is correct. The box is a retail product, and doesn't mean you'll
have to buy everything in a single package through steam.

The orange box is the retail option. Steam will also be offering this stuff
seperatly and/or in bundle.
You also will get 3 codes for activation.
Code 1, TF2, Portal, EP2
Code 2, HL2
Code 3, EP1
$49.99 sounds like a fair price for all this depending on what the cost is
going to be seperatly. Looks like the drug dealer is willing to give you
HL2 and EP1 to pass along to your friends and family to try and get them
hooked also.
But I am confussed here after reading this

I think you read it wrong Quisp, what they mean is if they release new maps (and the like) you won't be charged.
EA releases 3 new maps and some new weapons, packages them in a 'booster pack' and makes you pay $10 for them, I'm talking about BF2 if nobody got that.
